Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with experience in the retail industry to evaluate the impacts of a Location Hierarchy Reclassification on business processes and systems across various departments including Buying Merchandising & Design, Finance, People & Culture, Digital, and Data & Analytics/Reporting. 

Responsibilities

  • Analyse the impacts of Location Hierarchy Reclassification on business processes and systems.
  • Assess the effects on applications in the Buying and Merchandising domain, including Planning, Ordering, and Reporting.
  • Evaluate impacts on current trading and strategic planning processes.
  • Assess the impacts on Financial Planning, Reporting, and Financial Processes.
  • Understand and document the impacts on systems in P&C and Digital.
  • Deliver a written assessment with recommendations to ensure changes are implemented.
  • Engage effectively with a diverse stakeholder group to gather requirements and provide insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis

Essential skills

  • Industry or functional expertise validated through experience working within the retail industry.
  • Proficiency in Business Process Mapping using Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact at all levels within the Technology function and with external service providers/business partners.

Experience

  • Experience as a Business Analyst within product or project teams.
  • Experience in a BMD (Buying Merchandising & Design) role (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience with Merchandise Planning and Sales and Stock Reporting.

 

What do I need before I apply

  • You'll also need to be flexible to travel to client sites across the UK as required.
